Oats are very high in fibre, which North Americans dont eat enough of. This fibre will help you keep regular which is important for a healthy colon. Also, it has little if any fat at all and its very low on the glycemic index (this means that you will have more energy to burn later on). Its also very beneficial for your heart. Try to beware of sugar filled oatmeal. Keep it simple!!!

Hmm.. I believe you'll get whole grain and good complex carbs. Meaning you'll feel fuller, longer. Atleast, generally.

nothing really
but it's honest opinion

Reduced cholesterol, reduced risk of heart disease.

Well the best diet is balanced with lots of different healthy things. It's not very healthy to eat nothing but oatmeal. I would say you should only eat it once a day. But oatmeal is good b/c it has fiber and protein and is a more healthy source of carbs. Get the quaker instant oatmeal Weight Control kind, it has more protein and less sugar and still tastes good

The soluble fiber in oatmeal will lower your cholesterol, fill you up, and balance your blood sugar. A great way to get healthy and also lose weight.

it helps your cholesterol and a healthy heart with plenty of vitamins, minerals and fibre

It will keep you regular, I love oatmeal and I add fruit to it. It keeps you full for a long time. Tons of fiber that is good for you also it will reduce some health problems.

oatmeal makes a great fat free snack, and can even serve as a meal with fruit. You don't need the fancy stuff. Just a canister of the quick oats. put some in a bowl and add water ( I dont measure, cause I know how I like it. more water if ya like it runny, less if ya like a gloppy paste).
Add a smidge of chunky peanut butter and a little sweetener for a low cal healthy PB cookie flavor. Add a bit of maple syrup (lite) and a few crushed walnuts. I even add a bit of irish cream when I want a nighty night snack.
this will fill you up not out, and they say it will reduce your cholesterol. swap oatmeal for higher cal stuff and the weight loss will benefit your heart.
It also provides fiber to keep you regular.
And it is probably cheaper than a lot of processed packaged foods. Good for your wallett too!
