I cant make myself exercise! Help!?!

Question: Hi 18 and a bit overweight, i dont generally eat particularly unhealthy but i used to so i got fat about aged 13. I stayed the same weight up until i was 18, i turned 18 and began drinking in pubs a clubs and have put on more weight! (about a stone) That was 5 months ago and ive stayed pretty much the same since then. Ive now cut out the sugary alcohols and now only occasionaly drink vodka and orange juice. Like i said, i dont eat particularly unhealthy and rice and sweetcorn etc play a big part in my diet but i cant lose weight! The problem is exercise, i dont enjoy it in any form because it knackers me out, i get out of breathe, sweaty and i look hideous! The area i live in sucks for clubs and stuff and jogging and walking is kinda my only option. I walk lloads already, i walk everywhere! But im still fat! Help!

Nobody here can help you decide to make a personal change in your life. You have to do that. There is no inspiration that you can get from someone else that will help you. If what you see in the mirror is not enough, if health matters are not enough, then you are going to fail in your efforts.

I am a professional dieter. I have battled weight issues my entire life, to the degree that I was nearly discharged from the military due to obesity. I weighed 260 lbs (180 kg) and stand 5' 11". My body fat was 24%. I was warned formally that I had to lose the weight or my career, which was enough motivation for me. I lost 100 lbs in 10 months and have kept it off for nearly 17 years now.

All of the info in your post outside of the parts where you want to lose weight are excuses. Anyone can lose weight. A standard pound of human fat is 3500 calories. If you want to lose one pound, you must burn 3500 calories more than you take in. There it is. It's the magic formula. You can average out the numbers over days if you want, but as long as calories burned-calorie intake >=3500, you will lose one pound.

Diet + exersize = weight loss. To say that you cannot exersize because of your home, schedule, neighborhood, etc., is excuse. The link below is a good start. You will get winded and tired. That is because your body needs to get used to the new lifestyle, and it will. You just have to keep at it.

Willpower. Resolve. Patience. Effort. The things that helped the Brits overcome during the second world war. You have it in you. Use it.

LUCK!

Sorry but you've answered your own question. To lose weight you must exercise.

I hate exercise too, but I love to dance.

I just turn on the music in my room real loud..sometimes put the tv on too (on mute) and just hold a private dance party. It can be a good, fun work out.

go for chequp to a doctor sometimes its due to hormonal changes also so pls concern

Eat less in one meal, split one meal into 2 part. Sleep early and drink water. Eat high fiber food and after that you should have lose some weight. Then only you change from walking to jogging. You will see the result.

Stick a picture off a buff celebrity on your wall, and whenever you look at it,it will make you want to exercise because you wanna look like them

Be very careful with vodka orange juice, per 100 ml serving of pure orange juice has around 49 calories, and your likely to have around 250ml in each glass!! Try something light like diet coke/pepsi, thats something like 0.2 cal per 100ml.

You definatly want to try some exercise, it doesnt have to be serious gym going, running or weights. You could find some lesuire activity that gets you out, bowling or walking? I personally really enjoy ice-skating and have been having lessons for a few weeks. That really gets your heart racing and the muscles in my legs have really toned up. Theres ways of exercising without feeling like you really dont want to do it. If you start with something you enjoy, it'll give you more confidence to try other things.

Goodluck x

when you are watching a tv show, do situps or jog on the commericials for 5 minutes at a time. that way you wont get that much out of breath, but it will still help. keep a picture of how you want to look hanging up, maybe it will give you motivation. and if you ever eat, dont stuff yourself. (not saying you do now)

hey mate im in the same boat i walk everywhere, i hardly eat alot, i do drink alot of juice and water ( i dont like alcohol) and i still am over weight.

You don't actually start burning calories until you are out of breath. You need to control your breathing to keep it constant, but when you exercise you need deeper breaths to feed oxygen to your muscles.

Get yourself a rowing machine. You can get them for around
