How long should I excercise?!

Question: Anyone have any basis estimates for:

How often do I have to exercise to feel physical difference? (every day, every other day, half hour, hour, ect.. ect..)

How many weeks until I feel physically different (not just weight wise, but more energy, ect)?

Does walking around the block for an hour really equate to exercising for an hour?

Also, if I stop exercising for a few days, does that negate all the work I've done up until that point?

It depends on what kind of exercise you're doing. If you're doing cardio, it's okay to do it every day. Start with 30 min and work your way up from there. If it's strength training, ONLY every other day at the most. Your muscles need time to recover. It's a good idea to do a combination of the two. Try doing some sort of cardio for 30 min, and light strength training for 30 min to start out. You should start feeling a difference within a few weeks (more energy and better sleep are two you should feel almost right away).

And yes, walking is great exercise, but pair it with strength training, because it can eat away at your lean muscle mass.

No, if you stop exercising it doesn't negate all the work that you've done. Just get back on track as soon as possible. You don't start going "backwards" until about two weeks of not exercising, but you're not moving forwards either. Good luck!

at least 30 minutes a day if your young 1 hour id say old 20 minutes.

Forever. By the time you die you'll be super ripped.

i would say about half an hour to an hour everyday.

yes no its your life
but you should bcause it is healthy for you and and it good for your muscles and bones. if you exercise everyday your body will get stronger and you will have a better life knowing that your body is at a good position.

walking for a while everday= you'll notice a weight difference in one year,
everytime you laugh= you lose 3 calories
working out for about 30-45 mins/day= difference in about a month, you'll start to feel it if you keep up with it.

WILL POWER BABY. DO IT. do it

30 a day atleast and you'll feel change in about two weeks... not a dramatic change but is something... and if you stop for a few days it wont really affect you at all

Try walking first, and then lead up to 20 to 30 minutes per day with arm and leg exercises. Try running or stepping in place.Have a regular time to do it and this will help!
It really does help you feel better! And, in time you can get little weights and do you arms. But, take it slow and build up!

Atleast 3 to 4 days out of a 7 day week !! & do it until you are happy with the results from it. The rest of those or the remaining days you might want to try to do all things sensibly !!- From how much you eat & or your caloric/calorie intake!?! <G/L>~!!!. "R"r`r'r`',.
