Cardio question?!


Question: how often should i go to the gym and do cardio if i want to lose the most weight as soon as possible? im trying to lose some baby weight i got from my son i delivered about 3 months ago, i want to lose about 20 pounds how long should i run or walk on a machine and how many times a week...?? thanks!!

I would suggest doing 45-60 minutes of cardio 3-6 times a week. After 30 minutes of cardio, your body shifts from burning carbs to burning fat; if you do an additional 15-30 minutes of cardio (after an initial 30 minuetes), that'll be a good amount of time your body spends burning fat.

On average, doing some cardio at least 3 times a week really helps. But you should also do some strength training, maybe lift some lightweights, because the more you strengthen the muscles you have, the more fat you burn.
Try starting out with 3 times a week, maybe everyother day strength training. Kathy Smith has some really good workout videos to lose weight, a great selection. I lost alot of weight following some of her weight lose videos.

Britta Britta covered the cardio question. Also remember that the biggest part of weight loss is what and how much you eat. You could spend 3 hours on cardio, but if you're eating more than you're burning you could still gain or remain the same weight. Eating healthy and small portions goes hand-in-hand with exercise.

take 1 table spoonful honey in a glass of warm water on empty stomach
go to the gym and do cardio for half to one hour daily

it will take 3 months to lose 10 lb weight

well i don't believe it takes 45 to 60 min. the main thing is eating you got to eat healthy try small meals throghout the day that will keep your metabolism but as far as cardio i would say at least days a week i run 5 days a week but i'd say like 20 min. maybe 30 min but no more than that and you might want to do some strength training also but you want to focus on light weight for alot of reps like 15 to 20 reps that will burn fat and tone and
