There is no need to drink more water unless you have health problems like dry skin, constipation, pimples, acne, stomach pain, headache, urinal infections, eye sore, mouth ulcer, etc, etc,.If you have any one of these problem with you then please drink atleast 1 1/2 l water per day.
If you are an athlete then you need 3 l water per day.
If you have kidney problem then drink water according to the doctor's advice.

Not as much as I should.
You are supposed to drink at least 8 full glasses a day---
it's extremely good for you. It cleanses out toxins, helps you lose weight, and just darn right keeps you healthy.
I'm not a huge fan of tap water though---I only drink it when I'm taking disgusting medicine. Otherwise, when I do drink water, I drink bottled. :)

Drinking water is easier for your system than other drinks since it doesn't need to be processed before use. You don't need to drink 8 glasses of water, that would only be true if you ate food with no water content, most people don't need nearly that much. If you're running a marathon or in some other strenuous activity then a sports drink is better since it rehydrates you and also gives you some of the sodium and other minerals you lose in your sweat.

Too much water can be fatal but not drinking enough is bad too. Every other liquid you drink must be filtered by your kidneys to extract the water so make it easy on yourself and drink at least a couple of glasses of water a day. Most juices and sodas also have sweeteners that can be bad for you if you overindulge.

Bottled water=tap water that's been filtered a bit so it's a waste of money unless the convenience is important to you. We only drink it on a long trip when we're not sure about the local tap water. At home, get a reverse-osmosis filter and you'll have water better than 90% of bottled water for about 1/100th the cost.
