That's according to how much you burn. Here first calculate how much your body burns a day by googling basal metabolic calculator. This tells you how much your body would burn if you just laid in bed and did nothing. Eat less than that to lose weight. If you exercise eat more than that. Also never go below 1200 calories.

Depends on your goals. When I'm offseason and looking to gain more muscle mass, I'll have over 5000 cals. a day, mostly protein and carbs. Two weeks out before a contest, when I'm trying to shed every last oz. of fat on my body and get to 4% or 5% bodyfat, I'll only have between 1200 to 1500.
A much better way to watch what you eat is to count your grams of protein, carbs and fat. And get a trainer at your gym to measure your bodyfat level. I believe that it's not the weight, but how you carry it.

2000 for a woman and 2500 for a man but more if your a child asyou need more energy

1600 i think and that will maintain your weight. I'm trying to loose weight and for the past days (3 or 4) I've had no moe than 600 no less then 300 but I know that that will probably not last long.

depends on your age, high, how much do you want to weight and how much activity you do during your day..... an average amount of calories for a woman in a good weight is about 2000 calories daily.
