Eating 2 pounds of fruit/vegetables per day: healthy?!

Question: I'd like to preface this by saying that I am NOT trying to lose weight. I'm 6'1", 165 lb, athletically built and a vegetarian. I am also very physically active. Weight is not my concern. I am asking about the feasibility of this diet- will it be healthy for me in the long run? Here is what I have been eating lately:

Eat around 2 lbs of assorted nuts, vegetables and fruit every day. And I am talking about good, hearty vegetables. Not lettuce- spinach, kale, asparagus, broccoli, etc. This is the core of what I eat, and everything else is sparing and mainly to complement the major part of my diet. I might nibble on a few other things throughout the day or work them into a meal as a complement to the main part of what I eat. Dairy, whole grains, soy products, etc. I also take a multivitamin and drink a whey protein shake daily.

Does it sound like any heath problems could arise from a nearly fruit/veggie exclusive diet such as this?

That sounds like a great diet to me. As long as you are eating different types of fruit and veg, also the nuts and seeds are a very important part of your diet for fat and protein... Do you eat grains such as quinoa? That is an excellent way of getting a full complement of amino acids.
Hope this helps!

Seems reasonably balanced to me. Probably more so than what most people eat.

You should be getting enough protein via the dairy, nuts, and whey, so I see no problem.
