This may be a silly question but what does it mean to weigh 9st 9lb? or to weigh!
Question: These terms were used quite a bit I think in Britain or overseas. I just thought it was interesting when I looked up this article online about healthy weights and heights of celebs. To describe the weight they used the terms 7st to describe Angelina Jolie and 9st and 9lbs to describe Beyonce. Rihanna has said herself she is 9st and 7lbs but since I am unsure what that means it does not help me much. I wanted an idea of what size I am compared to them since I am pretty tall myself and consider myself a healthy slim curvy size.

1 st or stone = 14 pounds..so as an example, Beyonce would weigh 135 pounds.
st is there version of our lbs, st stands for stones.
not sure if 1 st = 1 lbs though.
