im glad u decided to turn your life around.

carbs have high gylemic and low gylchemic indexes. the higher it is the fastr it will spike your blood sugar levels and cause weight gains. sugar and white bread are high on the index. cut out sodas and desserts....switch ti whole wheat or maybe 60% loafs.

find creative ways to eat vegetables. is there ONE vegetable u like to eat or one way u like to eat it? start from there! i hated vegetables too. i am asian and so my mom does stirfries often. i like garlic and soysauce stirfried with mushrooms, carrots, cerlery and brocoli. find a way to enjoy veggies and stick with it for now and u will develop a taste for veggies

start doing cardio. it is a MUST to lose weight. start of slow, do walks. then jogs, then runs.......just slowly increase the time and the speeds and take it 1 step at a time. this way your body gets prepared for the nxt step and u are no overwhelmed with an impossible goal.

drink lots of water. lots. water makes u feel fuller, and have a bottle of water around at all times so u can drink it when u are 'thirsty' instead of drinking pop or sugary drinks.

try working out with light weights. lean muslcle increases your metabolism to help u burn more calories than u wud be when your not excercising. and muscles look good regardless of your weight or size!

avoid fast food and pre-processed frozen food. transfats and saturated fats are a diet-ers worst enemy. keep fat out as well. some fats in foods like salmon are healthy for u...but its hard to list them all here so in general keep fat to a low.
keep your diet to low carbs, low fats, and high in fibre and protein. lean meats and veggies are excellent with a small side of brown rice or some bread. snacking is FINE. remmeber, keeping blood sugar constant is key. snacking keeps it level. just snack on healthy foods like a fruit or carrot sticks. even a whole wheat cracker is fine. a big thing u want to watch out for is to not eat more because of snacking. u want more, but smaller meals. the total food u consume shudnt be more with the more meals. watch the calories.

most importantly, keep a log! keep track of what u ate, what excercises u did, and your weight. if u see progress u will have the motavation to keep going!

best of luck.

First throw out all of the junk and processed foods. you can pack them up and give them to someone with children or a food pantry. I know you do not like vegetables but they have gotten much better. I love sauteed vegetables and once you start drinking more water and no processed/sugary juices and sodas you will begin to love them too. Your body will feel so clean and light that you wont even want any junk.

The right way to detox: cut out coffee, alcohol, saturated fats and excess sugar and you'll also eliminate hundreds of empty calories that add extra pounds. The times are certainly toxic. Our kidneys and livers are constantly at work cleaning out all the nasty stuff we eat, drink and breathe--pesticides on our fruit, metals in dust and smog, sugar and bad fats in the processed foods we eat, and chemical compounds we come in contact with from household products, to name just some of the most obvious offenders.Like a window washer working on a skyscraper, the body's natural detoxification system never quite catches up with the grime. One study found that even people with a healthy lifestyle have an average of 91 potentially harmful toxins in their system. If you feel your body could use a spring cleaning of sorts, you may have considered a "detoxing" program. In other words, giving up offending foods for a couple of weeks can eventually help the body detoxify--if it leads to a new, long-term healthy mind-set. The best way to help clear out toxins is to put as few new chemicals into your body as possible--and controlling what you eat is among the simplest ways to ease the burden. What's more, the foods that add to our "toxic burden" have little or no nutritional value, contribute to weight gain and are habit-forming. That last part is especially important. Making a concentrated effort for as little as two weeks to remove or reduce these foods from your diet can break their addictionlike lure and lessen your desire for them. Consequently, you'll eat less junk, and over time your body can devote more of a concerted effort to staying healthy.

I would advise this book: Mark Hyman, author of Ultra-Prevention: The 6-Week Plan That Will Make You Healthy For Life (Scribner, 2003).

Start slow. Cut one unhealthy thing from your diet every two weeks so you don't go into withdrawal. Get used to living without that item, then cut something else.

You can start by getting rid of the coke. It's liquid poison.

Watch the movie 'Super Size Me' & read the book 'Mindless Eating' by Brian Wansink. You'll see how many senseless calories you can eliminate from your day without even feeling the loss.

Whatever you do...stay focused on the ultimate goal & never give up. It only gets easier as you go. Beginnings are always hardest.

And remember, nothing tastes better than being healthy feels. So don't waste another second & go start your new life.
