Do I really have to go on a diet if I want abs to appear?!

Question: Let me tell about myself first. I am 5'0" and 86 pounds. I'm 14 turning 15 and my mom, who is a pediatrician, allowed me to workout. I've been working out for about 2 weeks now. Well, you see I'm underweight. So I want to eat a lot to gain lots of weight. But at the same time, I wanna have abs appear on my tummy. The rest of my body is skinny but my tummy is kinda big. My waistline is 29.5. Do I really have to eat less? I don't wanna lose anymore weight. Any advice on how I could let my abs appear without having to lose weight or whatever?

Its about WHAT you eat. And to keep up metabolism, youre supposed to eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day. Eat very high protein diet (get some protein powder for shakes, Muscle Milk and Syntha 6 are good and taste amazing). You really cant gain much muscle bulk without a little fat staying, because the ONLY way new muscles can grow is when theyre constantly fed (drink 30g of protein immediatley after working out.) Work on abs after you get enough muscle that youre happy with. Then you need to cut down on carbs and calories and do cardio to burn the fat and get cut.

no way.. you don't need to eat less. you can eat lots, just make sure its low fat, high fiber, and high protein. muscle builds from protein, so eat lots of chicken and fish.
plus, if your active you're burning calories which means you can eat more.

a "diet" is nothing more than the regular food & drink of an organism. the media has turned that word into something that people automatically associate with weight loss.
