Will i lose weight as long as i burn more calories than i take in?!

Question: as of today i took in 1687 calories and burned 1717.

Answers: as of today i took in 1687 calories and burned 1717.

Technically, yes. However, it takes a deficit of 3,500 calories to lose one pound, so once you cut out 3,500 calories or burn 3,500 calories (or a combination of those two), you will lose one pound. For example, if you usually take in about 1700 calories from food and you cut out 200 calories a day from food and exercise to burn off an extra 300 calories, you have created a calorie deficit of 500 calories, and if you do that 7 times you will lose a pound, or 14 times you will lose 2 pounds and so on. You should try an online calculator to determine how much calories you need to maintain your weight, such as the one here:

In theory, yes, but I would think you'd want a bigger discrepancy than that to lose substantial weight.

yes, but your body will burn your daily calorie intake even if you just sit there. you should really eat more if you burn more than 1700 calories a day. i'm glad to just burn 500.

Yes you will. If you did that forever it would take a long time for you to lose weight, but you eventually would.

Yes you will.
