Well, according to Health magazine, I need to know if you are female or male to properly designate whether or not you are overweight. But if you are female, then you are not, and don't worry about a "little stomach fat". If you are active and join sports at such an early age, you can really get your body working for you in the future, I would highly recommend you joining a sport at school if you aren't already. By the way, you are pretty tall for a 6th or 7th grader. Congratulations. I have coached many sports for elementary school, and the one I have seen the best physical improvement in is Cross Country. I admit, it's a lot of work, but it REALLY pays of for you later on in life. I am seventeen years old, and am no longer in any sports, and haven't been for the past six years, but I have maintained my body well because I laid a good "foundation" by doing sports in elementary school. I have a six-pack and no stomach fat, and I only work out twice a week for about ten minutes.

you're 12 why worry if you're overweight later on in life... live life have fun... eat the junk food now your metabolism will slow down as you get older.. and you'll gain weight faster as you get older.. and to answer your question no.. you are not over weight... like i said.. you're too young to worry about that kind of stuff... live life and dont worry about it :-)

Sounds normal

At 5'0 your ideal weight would be 100 lbs so 108 lbs is OK. If you try to reduce your weight by dieting at your young age you could STUNT your growth.

Perhaps you need a bit of toning and swimming is ideal for both slimming and toning. The more laps every day the better.
