You should try some soy foods such as morning star bacon, boca burgers, the chili, and lagsana all by boca, canned food isle by the chili is veggie chili(good stuff)I am not a vegetarian but I found eating this way helps lose weight. When your family is having burgers than opt for a veggie instead(less calories and more fiber than beef)or put a large grilled mushroom cap and a pineapple ring on the bun instead this saves calories too. good luck!!!!

p.s try silk chocolate soy milk, by the milk Isle

It's not new, but many people don't know how good they are: Edamame (steamed soy beans). Look for them in the frozen foods section. They are good as just a snack or added to salads, stir fries, etc.

roasted almonds, spinach ,orange juice, any vegetable, low fat dairy products, plenty or fruit, and fish and alot of wheat products find cereal with whole grain and buy bottled water

buy melons they loaded with vital vitamins. (cantoloupe)

Regardless of what you buy, take a look at the ingredients. What you are looking for is sugar. Lots of food companies have started adding it to everything under the sun, even when you wouldn't associate sugar with that kind of food.

If you like yogurt then try Kefir which is near the yogurt. It is a fermented liquid yogurt drink with different kinds of the "good bacteria" for your gut- different than yogurt at least. It is also a good protein source.

Kashi brand cereal is great! It has more protein and fiber than other cereals. Rather than oatmeal you could try Bran cereal which has a bit more fiber.

Switch to high fiber whole grain breads.

Buy a juicer and mix carrots with pretty much any fruit! I love carrots and apple juice.

Hope some of this helps.

Why not try Quinua, its a grain, like rice, and its a good substitute, with a new flavor. You just have to rinse it for a few minutes first to get rid of a naturally occuring bitter coating that is naturally found on the grain, but its good. You can add chicken to it if you make it into a pilaf.

Yogurt, if you strain it in the fridge overnight (take a bowl, put wet cheese clothes over it, dump the yogurt in the middle, let sit), you have something that taste like cream cheese, but has the calories of yogurt. Add chives to it and use it as a dip. My kids will even eat this! Use it on bagels too.

Deviled eggs the healthy way. Cook 3 eggs, take out the yellows and throw away all except one. Mix that one with some cottage cheese and a splash of mustard (for color), but back in the eggs. Taste like the real thing, but healthier.

Fruit, have you tried Swiss Musli? A Good use of your fruit for breakfast.
