What should a normal heart rate be during exercise?!

For aerobic endurance you should try to get to 60-80% of your maximal heart rate (MHR). You can estimate your MHR by 220 - age. Your MHR would be 191bpm and 60-80% of this would be 114-153 bpm. 172 bpm is about 90% MHR but you shouldn't be concerned because it just means your working at a high intensity. Also, keep in mind that the machines aren't always accurate.

It depends on your age and weight and if your going for fat burning or cardio intensive. If you are in your 20's, cardio intensive is good between 160 and 180.
