Depends how hard out you go in that 30mins, If you seriously want to lose weight, use every minute of available time you have.

Stand up on public transport.
Don't eat 1-2 hours before sleeping.
Don't eat while watching TV, on PC.
If your going to drive 5mins away, walk.
if you have stairs, go up them in pairs instead of singles.
If your watching TV, why not run on the spot? or do some squats.

Once again, if you seriously want to lose weight, 30mins a day isn't serious enough, do everything the harder way, instead of the quicker easier way.

about 8-10 lbs

If you diet very well i think about 6kg.
thats about 11 or 12lbs.

I reckon 8lbs isn't too much of a stretch. Make sure you do some resistance / weight training a couple of times a week. You can do crunches, push ups, squats, lunges etc. You don't need equipment. Keep your calories down to about 1500. You'll do great!
