Cheated on diet - how long to wait to work out?!

Question: PMS cravings got the best of me, I just totally pigged out after a week of 1000 calorie or less days. I feel like an elephant. How long should I wait to before I go do some cardio? I cant move right now lol.

As soon as you are up to it, do it. Don't wait too long.

Pigging out actually throws a curve ball at your metabolism. if you don't occasionally (like once every 2 weeks) pig out your metabolism will get used to digesting only 1000 calories and slow down. Meaning you wont loose as much weight or body fat. by eating more once in a while keeps your metabolism running like it would if your diet was that high all the time.

I would say wait 1-2 hours before doing cardio otherwise you might cramp up.

Well the reason you "binged" like that is because you have been depriving your body of food. You need to be eating at least 1200 calories a day. And with that you should allow yourself one sweet thing a day that is not too bad for you..like a serving of frozen yogurt. Then once a week you should be able to have a junk food night that you really can eat whatever you want. This will cause you not to want to binge rest of the week.. because you have something to look forward to.

And with doing cardio... I would wait a few hours. Really cardio should be done on a empty stomach otherwise you are going to get cramps and just not feel good. But don't worry too much about it because tomorrow won't you don't eat as much your body is going to burn those calories faster because you tricked your metabolism into thinking that it needs to burn more calories :)
