Calorie-free sodas have actually been studied extensively and scientists are now saying that they ARE bad for you. Apparantly, your body can't tell the difference between the artificial sweeteners and regular sugar, so it acts like you just drank a can of regular pop. Also, astpartame has been linked to various cancers; it's a carcenogen and should be ingested in moderation. It's really just better to drink water, skim milk and low-acid, unsweetened fruit juice.

i drink diet soda in moderation. the things to watch out for are that you aren't eating extra because you think you have some extra calories left over from drinking diet soda and that soda dehydrates your body so for every soda you drink have two glasses of water. also the carbonation can cause a little bit of bloating in your belly area so if your going to the beach or something don't drink any the day or two before. but other then that its fine, i have diet coke about twice a week. good luck!

well obviously they aren't going to cause you to gain weight but i don't recommend having more than 1 a day because of the caffein and artificial sugars

I know, the 0 Calorie sounded tempting, but this stuff MIGHT actually cause weight loss, if you drink it daily. Once in a while is alright.
It's because the stuff they use instead of sugar is actually 10x sweeter, and sugar is natural.
However, if you exercise daily and such, don't worry about it. =D

ummm....it is actually really bad for u if ur dieting because the stuff in the soda makes ur body want to hold onto the calories and make it harder to loose weight. also it rots your teeth.

The "diet" sodas do cause weight gain, but they also have bad chemicals like the sweeteners aspartame, and sucralose.
