Will this work??????? I'm trying to get down to 120lbs!?!


Question: I'm currently, a size 11 and 150lbs!

I'm doing this

Curves
At Curves I do their machines and for recovery I use their weighted 3lb hula hoop
At Curves once I finish my two laps I go to the weights and pick up a 10lb handweight for each hand and do squats

At Home I

Dance
I eat a healthy diet, low in fat, sat fat, sugar, and sodium,
I drink water
I stick to 1,400 calories a day

When I go out to eat, I don't eat dessert, I don't like tap water so if they have cold bottled water I drink it if not, a Sprite or a Sierra Mist, I control what I eat, if it looks and sounds or I think its fattening I only eat a little bit.

Hows that?

Can I get a better body and get to 120 by doing that? I'm trying to get to a size 7!

you go girl! dont look at the weight you want to be. gauge your fat loss by your body fat percentage and your dream size. i know its a little premature but might help motivate you, go and buy somethign in your dream size. (jeans are always the best thing cause they wont give that much so you will work harder to get into them!) then try to get them on every week or 2. im 145 but i wear a size 4! if your doing any weights expect to build muscle which weighs more than fat. also drink water water water! your biggest meal should be lunch and have somethign lighter for dinner. after eating try taking a walk. it will promote healty digestion and it wont be so physical as running miles. so your asthema shouldnt get triggered by a brisk walk after meals. hope your a sucess story! oh, when you reach your goal here is a kicker, you will have to drop your calorie intake even more. or bump up the exercise more. maintianing is almost as hard as losing! get started with healthy habits and it should be a breeze the rest of your life. good luck! ps: slim fest has tons of vitamins in it, i would stick with it. the whey is ok but check out the calores in "protein" drinks. try a soy proten instead if you still wanna go that route. the healthiest way to loose weight is 1-2lbs a week. i know it seems like it will take forever. but the slower and more consistant your weight lose the longer it will preveil. so just keep it up. reward your self. if you loose 10 lbs go buy a fabalous work-out outfit. or get your hair or nails done! just dotn reward yourself with food!

yes!! excersice is good but DONT stop eating thats bad.... eat healthy though

Sounds good, except for the soda (a 16oz Sprite has 150 calories, you don't want to waste your daily calories on that). Try iced tea instead. And you might be restricting your calories too much, see if your health insurance would cover a visit to a nutritionist. If you eat too little calories, you can put your body into starvation mode, which will make it REALLY hard to lose anything.

Sounds good. The only thing I would change is to cut out the soda. There's a lot of sugar in that. I know people who have lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks just by cutting out the sugar.

Yes, this can be done, but it'll take time to lose that amount of weight. You didn't say how tall you are, and that is an important factor in determining your ideal weight. Also, your body type, or 'frame' is important, too. You don't want to lose more weight than your body type can handle, normally and safely.
Remember, the choice to lose weight is not only an aesthetic[external, visual, societal] issue, it also should be, and more importantly decided because of health concerns. As long as you are healthy, fall within normal weight range, and happy, you should love yourself, at any weight. Health is and should be the ultimate determinant to happiness
Your health comes first.........you may also want to consult with a doctor to make sure your exercise regime, diet, and overall health are indeed healthy for you..............before you go on a real diet.

doll, just get on the Atkins diet. It not only makes you lose the weight, it teaches healthy eating principles that will last your whole life time. I know you gained weight because of steroids, but this diet will help you for the rest of your life. i lost 30 lbs. in 3 weeks dear. Not everyone will lose it that fast, it depends on your metabolism

Everything looks good but you have to realize that maybe a size 7 isnt realistic. You should try measuring by inches instead of what the scale says too (your body can change as much as 5 pounds due to water weight just overnight). Also, you don't have to completely cut out your soda, just cut it down. Do not limit yourself from deserts and sweets, it's ok in moderation. Plus if you deny yourself, you will eventually break down and ruin all your hard work. It is ok to have a soda a week, and maybe a cookie once a week just to keep your cravings satisfied. Be careful with any protein because if you're not working out enough to burn off those calories, you will gain weight! (remember Mean Girls?)

Multiply what you want to weigh by 10 to get the amount of calories you should have in a day...example if you want to weigh 120 you multiply this by 10 which would be 1200 calories per day, or if you want to weigh 140, you would eat 1400 calories per day. Adding exercise does change this a bit, if you exercise more you can eat more calories, if you exercise less you would need to lower your calories. And just make sure you average the amount of calories you've set for each week. So if you happen to go over one day, go under another day. I use the 80/20 rule ... eat right exercise at least 80% of the time so if I mess up 20% of the time it doesn't really show and I can enjoy the "bad" foods. Basically you need to burn more calories than you're taking in 80% of the time.

What you are doing sounds good to me.. I wouldn't do much weights, because you would be building muscle and it weighs more that fat, unless that is what you are trying to do.

You don't have to avoid all food as long as you cut down on bread, pasta, basically anything starch, drink lots of water, and portion control especially. I'm doing it now and losing 1-3 lbs. a week.
