Tips on staying motivated with a workout plan?!

Question: hey there, so i'm trying to lose weight, i'm very unhappy with my body, and i'm a bit tired of it actually. so i'm going to lose some weight/just get more healthy, i'm having a very hard time getting used to exercising, i do horseback riding twice a week for an hour, but i need to do more, so i've been waling on the treadmill, i find i get bored after about 10 or so minutes, and i just stop, i can't seem to 'push' myself to walk that full hour, what are some tips for that?

get some pictures of people you think look really good. not neccessarily the victorias secret models but that actually works REALLY well for me since im obsessed with alessandra ambrosio. but like shape magazine & other fitness sites with pictures.

make a playlist of lots of songs that pump you up & tell yourself that you wont stop working out until its over. i have eye of the tiger on mine & lots of good ones.

if you can, watch a tv show while you run on the treadmill. a half hour show or an hour show if you can handle it. half hour is more practical.

run to a desination & back & then you know you cant possibly cut your workout short unless someone picks you up & drives you to your starting point lol

good luck!

instead of for an hr
walking 15-20 mins a day can make a difference
or try doing workouts that are seen on tv

I recently started setting a goal for myself each week. For example, 20 min of running each day, or 14 miles a week. 1 pilates session, and 2 weight training workouts. I found that setting a goal made me eager to achieve it and I even wanted to beat it each week. Hope this helps!

I had that exact problem. I wanted to run but found it SOOO boring. To stay motivated, I suggest first buying an i-pod and download some fast songs that you like. Take that on runs with you. It makes the run go faster. Instead of a treadmill, go outside. LIke a track or a trail. THen look and see if your town or town nearby has some upcoming races. LIke 3k or 5k run/walks. THey are fun and very low key. I find those motivate me to keep moving. Good luck
