How long do you think it'll take?!

Question: I want to lose a little weight to trim some fat off my stomach. I eat only a little less than I should(but I really don't get hungry enough and I eat healthy), have a relatively fast metabolism, and am up every day, but not very active. I dance every night, about a half hour to an hour. How long do you think it'll take to lose at least 5-10 pounds, and do you have any tips for exercise? Thanks.

As a general rule, your body burns about 1800 calories/day. More if you are overweight, less if you are under. A pound is around 3500 calories. For a 150 lb. person 30 minutes of dancing burns about 150 calories. so if you want to lose 10 lbs. you will need to lose 35,000 calories. The minimum recommended calorie intake is 1200 calories. Which means you'll lose about 750 calories a day (with dancing).

It will take you about a month and a half to burn 10 lbs. if you eat 1200 calories a day and do not increase your level of exercise.

5-10 pounds, probably takes a few months.

It's impossible to target one area of the body to lose weight. Do 50 sit-ups morning and night and go running/cycling/swimming everyday. Take one day off and do pilates or yoga it's surprisingly difficult.

u know what u do?

1. Exercise plan
2. Lift weights
3. Do push ups
4. go to google, and search up, "losing food weight,"

it would take 1-2 weeks if you do just a bit of sit ups

You will be down to your ideal weight in no time. Just don't concentrate on reaching a specific goal. This will only throw you for a loop and you will never be able to get off. You do not want this since it is very frustrating and will only lead to undesirable behavior on your part. Focus. You can do this. Just let it happen naturally. Write down your current weight every morning and subtract your ideal weight, this will give you your target weight loss. Keep this number in mind as you go through your day and don't eat too much.

my best guess is that you try to get a little more cardio in. the fact that your dancing is great. do something active that makes u break a sweat. if your eating surgar...stop completely. watch what you eat in other words. 1-2lbs a week is healthy. it is very possible to loose more depending on how much fat there is to be burned. good luck hun

Well if you keep dancing every night for about an hour, then at least thats some physical activity that your doing. But my advice is too be a bit more active, maybe go for a walk every morning or something, or even lightly jog...

If you want to lose the weight, then you'll have to work hard at it and be more active. I don't think that dancing every night will cut it.

And about your eating habits, eat 3 heathy meals a day and make sure your getting all the food groups in there. Don`t eat less then you should, eat until your not hungry. Definatly don`t over eat...obviously. Also drink plenty of water, that will completely wash out your body of toxins, etc.

So, if you follow my advice and be a bit more active, and also eat heathly.. i think in the first week you`ll lose about 4 pounds. But it`s common that the first week that your losing weight will be higher than the following weeks. After the first week you`ll probably lose 2 pounds. So i guess 2-4 weeks.

Good luck!

My field is in fashion, as a result many people ask me how they can slim down. My answer is always the same: good diet and exercise. But I found this great product (all natural) which I think helps a lot in the process (it's really good for detox, you'll feel much healthier). I recommend you check this website
http://www.diet-easy-now.us , they have a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling. Good luck!
