I am 15 years old and i think that I'm really underweight and it is a proble!

Question: i am about 5'4 but i only weight about 110 and the problem is that i eat sooo much and i cant seem to gain any weight, even without exercising i cannot gain anything, even after working out nothing..... i find that i am always hungry even while im sleeping, then i feel starved when i wake up, but i do eat about 4 to 5 meals a day for the last few months but i still stay at 110, and not matter what i eat, i dont gain any fat or muscle, it feels like my body barley takes any nutrients or "stuff" from the food i eat...... so i was wondering what kind of things can i try?

Hi,

All young guys like you want to bulk up if they are on the thinner side so be careful of just straight Protein is only going to boost your metabolism.Which is not what you need.

YOU NEED to start drinking ENSURE. It comes in different flavors and can be found in the pharacy section of most super markets.

I know your young so I want you to understand it can get a bit costly.
Try to drink 2- 3 per day, plus foods like sliced apples with peanut butter at the same time.Nuts & dried fruit work well with it,too!

Best to You !!

As long as you eat right and exercise regularly, you have nothing to worry about.
Genetics could be a part in this, but there is also the fact that people are just built differently. Its as simple as that.
I know exactly how you feel! I have the same problem!
If it really bothers you, ask your doctor. They can give tips and let you know if you are underweight or healthy.
I'm sure there are hundreds of girls out there who would give anything to be as thin as you.

How many times do you take a dump in a period of 1 day? If it's more than 1 or 2 max, that's you problem right there. You may need to slow down your rate of motabilism. Research how to do that. I don't have a clue.

i am 16 yrs old 4'11 and i weight 110 pnds. so no your not underweight.

Your problem is you have a insanely high BMR. Eat big meals. and only a couple of times a day and it should correct the problem.

If you eat allot, and especially if you exercise allot Your metabolism will run like crazy.

So try eating 2 meals a day, and add enough to intake around 900-1100 calories per meal and it'll probably slow down your metabolism.

But not 100% sure.

You could have your thyroid function checked. That affects weight. Or, you just have a fabulous metabolism rate.
I would recommend woman's daily vitamins but only after your thyroid check.
