5'6, 120 lbs and need to lose 5 lbs. Any advice?!

Question: My friends mom says that when I first came over in the 7th grade, I was skinny. I'm in the 9th now and 2 days ago she said that my thighs are getting bigger.

I've noticed that too but kept it in, because I've been known to go to extremes to lose weight. I've tried puking and starving but neither worked. I know to diet and exercise but I can't wait to drop my thigh fat. Help?

You DO NOT need to lose any weight at all. You have developed since the 7th grade is all that it is. You're perfectly fine the way you are.

what is wrong with that woman??

you are actually UNDERWEIGHT.
tell your friends mom to shove it.

why would u want to lose weight?
ur exactly my height and weight i definately wouldn't throw up or starve myself at my weight.

You do not need to lose weight!!! If you don't like the way your theighs look than go to the gym and work on toning but please take my work for it... if you are really 5'6 and weigh 120lbs you DO NOT need to lose weight.

you don't need to lose weigh mo fo..you are probably just sloppy skinny. You need to get some MUSCLE. try gaining some muscle weight. it will make you look bettah.

Curb the carbs. No bread , bagels, cake or cookies. Starving only signals your body to hold on to fat.

combine a bit of strength training and cardio with a healthy diet

As we get older our bodies are permanently changing. I don't believe you need to lose weight. If you wanting to tone your thighs I would suggest going to the gym or do some excercises at home to tone. A simple excercise to do for your thighs is to get a ball, place it between your knees lying on your back, kneese bent or even standing up and squeeze and release a few times. Don't starve yourself you'll only end up with other problems alot more complicated than flabby thighs.

wtf??? listen, you are not fat at all! don't succumb to the rules of the sickly thin-obsessed society we live in....trust me you do not want to go there. just eat right and exercise!!!!!!

I hate to tell you this, but this change she noticed is a normal part of growing up & there may be nothing you can do about it.

You do not need to lose weight. You can, however, make sure you eat balance meals with lots of veggies. You can also work out and make sure you are toned, which is what most women would like to become. I would suggest you talk to a dietician or someone who can guide you through excersize since you admit that you have been known to go to extremes to lose weight. If you find that you are heading in that direction, please get help to take care of it sooner rather than later.

You don't need to loose weight. If you'd like you can try doing weight training exercises to tone your body, but some people just have "curvier" makeups than others. That does NOT mean that you are fat. No matter how thin I am, I always have thighs, while other girls (like certain celebrities) seem to have stick legs. It's just genetics. You are at the low range of a healthy weight for your height and you are still young - you do NOT need to specifically loose weight.

Make sure to cut out any and all soda and fruit drinks that are loaded with sugar!

You should also cut out pasta, white bread, etc...

I'm trying to lose weight too and it's sooo hard. My aunt is using a weight loss product and it's really working for her (100% natural). I'm gonna try it and I recommend you try it too. It's really a colon cleanse, and it's a healthy way to detox, not like most diet pills. Check their website at
http://www.thin-diet.us , my aunt got a free trial and paid only $4.95 shipping and handling.
