I AM 116lbs and 16yrs old. i have been exercising and eating well but not buildi!


Question: ive been running on the beach(3/4 a mile-2miles) and doing push ups. eating fruits meat and power bars.. what else should i be doing.
i really dont like veggies but if i have to ill eat'm

haha you're not building any muscle because you're running so much and building tone----not muscle. The only way to build muscle is to break it apart and let it heal back together in a bigger form. Duh...........WEIGHTLIFTING! after you do this then you can worry about the food: protein drinks, protein bars, protein food intake, protein, protein, protein!!! Also, fruit won't do jack schitt for gaining weight.

Start lifting weights.

You need to :

A) Consume more protein ( fish, chicken breast, protein bars, protein powder, ect )

B) Do more exercises. Hit up your school's gym, or get a membership. You don't even need to do that. Search google/youtube for "bodyweight exercises". These are exercises that you can do at home or outside that use your bodyweight as resistance.

C) Keep the diet clean, but it looks like you're doing that already.

D) Keep up the cardio.

Muscle takes a long time to build, but if you put the effort into it, you will see your rewards.
