Can upping your daily water intake result in weight loss?!

Question: I obviously don't mean a significant weight loss or anything, but if I went from drinking say 3-4 glasses of water a day to drinking 8 or more would it effect my weight in even the slightest way? thanks.

Drinking 3-4 glasses of water is insufficient for your body. Drinking 8 glasses of water is normally recommended by doctors. Drinking 10 - 14 glasses is better for you. The more water you drink the better it is for you. Water flush your system and keep it running better. The human body is made of over 90% water. Dringking more water provides you with these benefits: 1) keeps your body running better 2) you can loose weight since your stomach is always full and you don't eat as much 3) drinking more water keeps your skin healthy because your muscles, skin, and other tissues are flush and you look younger. Good luck.

It could help you lose some weight.

yes! and it would help your skin..and all your body run smother too!

If you were eating less or drinking less sugary drinks because of it, perhaps but not on it's on. Even though it probably won't help lose weight it will make you healthier in the long run.

it will help flush out toxins, suppress appitite and cold water burns more calories, drink more water dont drink soda, and eating fruits and veggies help too, every little thing helps, even if its 15 min of weight training or cardio daily, better than nada

I would guess that the normal weight fluctuations from simply having masses of food in your guts would conceal any weight loss brought on by drinking more water.

Absolutely! You should also drink green tea whenever possible... also great for you.

Water won't rip the pounds off you if you are overweight, but it will definitely help your body shed a few pounds.

At first you will probably not like it as you'll be peeing a lot more often, but this is good... it's your body detoxifying. Best to spread out your water intake throughout the day too, don't drink 8 glasses in the morning and think you're done.

Water is also great for you skin! Try it out and stick with it, you'll notice a difference!

Yes! i think its a gr8 idea 70% of our body is water the rest is fat nutrients etc. drinking 7-8 glasses of water a day would boost up your immune system and help digest your food quicker which would help you lose weight not dramatically but it sure is better than nothing. But you obviously have to do some type of physical activity. You may gain 1/2 a kilo at first but thats just the weight of the water it'll dissapear soon ..:D
Hope it helps!!

it would increase your weight (due to water retention) however it would help boost your metabolism causing you to burn more fat, if thats what you mean?
