About Wide Grip Lat Pullups...?!

I know 2 shoulder widths mean you're making a V-shape with your arms. But how far apart should they be?

Im following P90X, and in doing "pullups" or "chinups" the grips vary. That way it doesnt have to be so precise. In one workout, I will do two sets of wide grips, two of narrow, two reverse, two "corn cob (average width but pulling up and tapping your chin to both hands before lowering)...etc etc....

You get the idea...variety will ensure that you get your total back. Dont worry about 68 inch grip versus 67...thatll just make you insane.
