Eat even when I'm not hungry?!

Question: I'm not talking about emotional eating. I am trying to loss weight by changing my lifestyle. I had my normal breakfast and a late lunch at 1:15 then went for a 4 mile walk/jog around 4:30. I got home at 5:30 but I honestly wasn't hungry. I had a small dinner of one small fish, 2/3 of a cup of veges, and a yogurt at about 6:20. I was afraid if I didn't eat then I would get hungry later and end up snacking way to late. Should I have not had dinner because I wasn't hungry or was it a good thing?

Sometimes your body doesn't feel hungry even after a workout. I think you still need nourishment though. It speeds up your metabolism if you eat plenty of small meals and eat when you take your meals. I don't think you should worry about it too much. It sounds like you had a small, healthy meal so you did the right thing! Just have a snack or a small nutritional meal because you probably would've got hungry later. :)

It was a good thing! Even if you aren't hungry, you should always eat your daily meals -- at LEAST three. 4-5 small meals a day is sufficient, each consisting of about 200-250 calories and no higher than 5 grams of fat. It's just the same as drinking a lot of water each day. Even if you aren't thirsty, try your best to drink at least 5 glasses a day.

Yeah I hear u. I eat all the time. Just walking through the kitchen and have to grab a chewy bar or two but after 10 walks through the kitchen....

I would just try to avoid the smell and presence of food. That works for me. If I am not around it then I do not bother to go upstairs and get it. If I am on the same floor and only 1 room away then it is a different story. lol.

It's ok to go crazy on food some days. A lot of diet sites actually recomend having a cheat day to eat a lot. I think i take to many though.

Excercise if you are feeling bad about what you ate.

Hope this helped.

you should always eat when your hungry

no, u cant be skipping meals,..u didnt even eat A LOT SO DONT WORRY!
