I would like to loose a little bit of weight...?!

Question: I'm 5'8" (173cm) and 9 1/2 stone (133lbs) my BMI is 20.22 but I'd still like to loose a bit of weight, how much do you think would be acceptable? and roughly how long would it take me? - Any tips would be appreciated :) xx

you could lose 10 lbs and still have a BMI of 18.7.....anything under 18.5 is considered underweight. if you want to lose a pound per week, cut out 3500 calories through diet and exercise for that week. this would be really easy if you started keeping a food journal. simply cutting out pop from your every day diet could cut back your calorie intake a lot. drink lots of water, this will help speed up your metabolism. do this and you could lose the weight in about two months.....trying to lose the weight any faster is unhealthy and you are more likely to gain it right back....good luck.

your not heavy so just break your food intake into 6 meals 3 hours apart and you will loose a little or at least tone up a bit

go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m.
I know a woman who lost 60 pounds a month on it. She did nothing else!

your wt is ideal if still you want to reduce it take low calories food and lot of water and some exercises and walking and pranayam

The Ny poster has the right idea except I would like to add it's the WHITE flour in stuff like pasta and bread that makes one gain or keep the weight on. It isn't the wheat. The wheat is actually good for your digestive track. IF you threw in a good amount of fiber daily that helps take weight off as it makes you get rid of the excess food intake faster through the body.

The recommended fiber intake daily is 25 grams. Add SLOW though as it can cause constipative problems if you add this all too quickly. It bulks up if done fast. It doesn't process well then. SO add this gradually but try to get to this. The success in any weight loss is seen in less calorie intake than you are using up daily to put it most simply really. Eat less than you are using in energy and you will lose weight. Eliminating some foods helps.
