How to lose the fat around your stomach?!


Question: I have been walking awhile now and I have the only place I see results is in my legs and lower body. I see the difference, The only place that hasnt changed is my belly area, exact same, no change whatsoever. What exercises should I do to help me lose the fat around my stomach and back. Should I be using weights, will crunches and sit ups help me, or does that just strengthen my abs? Or should I keep on walking and be patient? i cannot run because I have pins and and a plate just below my knee?
Anyone know any great tips on how to shed the belly fat?

eat foods high in fibre, especially fruits and veg.

lie flat on your back on the floor. with your legs together lift them slowly so that they are upright. lower them again until your feet are about 10cm above the floor. hold it for 5 or 10 seconds. then repeat the exercise. start with doing 10 repeats at a time. remember dont let your legs touch the ground. and slower is better!

Try to focus your attention on what's going inside you [food], not what's around you.

nothing but hard work, thats all, no sit up really, instead lay flat on you back put on your heaviest shoes & do leg ups, put your hand under your butt&waist to give you some lift, you will know were, it will feel comfortable. then lift your legs straight up and dow, u choose your pace.peace.

I would say situps I have the same problem I ride my bike lots and walk lots but still stomach flabby I'm resorting to herbalife shakesworks might be expensive but beats excercise

Ok, I have the same problem! As much as we hate hearing this - eating natural foods like fruit, veg, nuts and grains and doing 30mins of cardio at least 3 times a week (but your heart has to be pumping really hard and sweat has to be pouring off you) is the only way to lose that annoying middle fat. I have been eating only fresh fruit for breakfast (only fruit before 12pm) and its really working for me. Keep it up and good luck! P.s diets dont work - just adopt sensible eating habits

EDIT: Wow, first of all I was only trying to help - and second of all - lose the attitude or you wont get anywhere!

The stomach is the first place to gain weight and the last to loss weight. The only way to see quick results, because we all love those the most, is to do abs everyday (they heal the fastest of any muscle) and cardio. Obviously, doing all forms of exercises in between those two main focuses will only help.

abs are the most difficult part to get in shape. you first have to brun the fat with cardio. then do exercises to build muscle. my dietician swears by kick boxing for abs.
