What is a good exercise routine for some one who hates exercising?!


Question: I am 14. I am 5'6.5". I want to model but i have to grow at least .5" I also have to loose wieght but i hate exercising. What can I do for exercise?

Cut back on the junk. Take in small portions of food. Eat poultry and fish along with "fresh" vegetables. Drink a lot water to keep you flush out. Ride a bike or invest into one. Remember that if you have a "goal" , reach for it :-)

be like all of the other models and puke after every meal :)

Walk. At least 30mins a day. It needs no special clothes or shoes, you can do it anytime and after two weeks you will see results.

Get a dog and take it for long walks at a fast pace.

I live near the mountains and I like to just go hiking, I also like to swim

just right breathing gymnastic can be more then enough.

Attempt to fit it into your life as I have. Walk as much as possible, at least an hour or more after you eat. While doing laundry and or drying your hair work in some stretches and dance moves and while doing dishes work in something else. When I watch tv at night I do some exercises if something is on thats sort of calming like a nature show. I watch and exercise at the same time. I try and dance every day because I like that and its not exercise to me, its fun.

Do what I do, dance! I have a few of the ministry of sound pump it up dvds (choreographed dance aerobics) I hated exercise before I bought them (off amazon) and had never bought an exercise dvd in my life, now I do one every day and I love it, I feel really great too. I like the Hi energy and beach body ones, trust me!

Although there are some good suggestions for exercise, I've found that if I thinking of physical activity as being exercise, I don't enjoy it as much. So I look at the physical activities as just way to do something that I enjoy, whether it's going on a walk or taking dance classes. So if you enjoy any type of physical activity, then do it--don't think of it as being exercise. Think of it as a way to have some fun.
