Should I do Cardio?!

Question: I'm looking to bulk up but have a small layer of fat around my stomach and chest. Should I be doing Cardio on a regular basis to try and burn this off, or if I stick to my bulking up workout/diet should this burn off itself?

If the layer is small and your primary goal is bulking up, i would say skip cardio. Of couse, it depends on your goals. Some things in consideration are :
1. It is tough to bulk up and work on loosing layer of fat at the same time.
2. increasing muscle mass would force your body to consume more energy which would reduce fat layer.
3. Spring/summer is the better time for loosing fat than bulking up. It affects body metabolism.

Don't be afraid to do cardio if your aim is to get bulk. Cardio is important in every training. Just be sure to spend more time in resistance training than cardio. Do your cardio as a warm up and cool down.

and also remember, you need to do cardio to get your muscles 'working' properly to fit your needs of everyday. muscle builder's muscles are adapted to lifting etc. they wouldnt be much good at marathon runs. i think if you want that fat gone. then its up to you. concerntrate on cardio and you will gain muscle a bit anyway. if u didnt mind just try bulking muscle up then do weights. having more bosy weight's gonna mean u can lift more too.

people have no complete understanding of how our body works and adopts. I just agree that it is up to you but you be sure you can not be efficient in achieving 2 goals in same time. here is a link you can use and go for advanced training program if all 29 weeks of begginers level you find not sufficient 4you. we do hit and attain both goals fast in our program you will see...http://www.advice-masters.com

Cardio is an important component of overall fitness. It benefits your heart, your metabolic rate, decreases bad cholesterol, increases good cholesterol, reduces body fat and more.

Try and find cardio that you will enjoy, there are so many activities to choose from! (boxing, walking, running, swimming, aerobics classes, bike riding etc.)

Check out the link below, it talks more about the benefits of cardio.
