How to live a healthy lifestyle???!


Question: Hi!!! My name is Sara, i was wondering what you think a healthy lifestyle would be for a thirteen year old girl. As i said I am 13 i weigh 117.5 pounds and I am five foot three I am looking to be 100 by summertime maybe late June!! How can i do this? Any suggestion on fitness exercise or have a better lifestyle will be greatly appreciated. The person who give me the most Information that would help will get the best answer. Thank-you in advance for all the great answers because i know you guys can help me out on this.

Get active, find any excuse you can to be active, join an after school team, join a sport, walk the dog, become a dog walker (make some cash on the side), walk everywhere you go instead of getting a ride, walk to school, walk to lunch, walk to the store when your parents need an item (if it's too far doen't get anything parishable). Get execrise everyday.

Make sure you eat plenty of fruits and veggies, espcially fresh ones, not canned or frozen ones. Eat fruits and veggies as your main course and eat the meat as a side course. Get plenty of protein. Only eat reduced fat or non fat dairy products to include milk, eggs (egg beaters), cheese, yougurt, etc. You should get at least 3 servings of dairy a day but make sure it's non fat or reduced fat!!

Cut out all junk/processed food, eat only all natural food. For example, don't eat reduced fat potato chips eat an apple instead. But if you must have potato chips, then by all means eat the reduced fat or light ones rather than the regular ones.

Cut out all soda and drink only water, juice ocassionally. Drink a minimum of 64 oz a day of water.

Take a daily vitamin to get all the nutrients you need.

Get your parents involved too and make it a family affair.
