I think it is more common in women because we have hormones and are more emotional than men - so emotional overeating is more prevelant. Also, men tend to have more physical jobs than women so they tend to get more exercise.
You seem to be right and I agree with you.
They tend to eat more during the day with less physical activity and no regular exercises, it is expected.
I think it's more common in girls.
Girls have hips, butts, and breasts. That really isn't obesity, but it does make their body to appear bigger.
Also, when a guy is overweight, depending on HOW overweight, it doesn't seem to be as big of a deal as if a girl were to be as overweight as him.
Meaning, if a girl is 20 pounds overweight, she will appear worse then a guy who is 20 pounds overweight.
I notice a lot of both genders.
