A question about fasting?!


Question: My doctor said that I have to faast 24 hours every week. Now that I have this is my head, everytime I eat ANYTHING, or basically all day I long I think of nothing but the fast coming up. :( And it is causing me to eat more somtimes when I think about it. The fast isn't that bad at all, I just sleep most of the time, and thats really it. But what can I do to make sure I don't overeat when I'm thinking of the fast?

Just try to calm down about it. Dont over obsess about the fasting, its only 24 hours and if you eat more the days before it, it doesnt really help. good luck with your fast- =)

Why 24 hours every week?

only eat when your tummy rumbles.
Then you know you're really hungry.

try not to think about it, and just get some self control. The human brain can do amazing things. if you try hard enough to not overeat, you won't.

First of all, this is the obvious answer. DON'T think about it! Keep yourself busy so you don't think about it.

2. when your fasting find Something...Anything that will keep your mind off your stomach. If you don't feel it during the fast you won't think about it in the leading up to it.

Remember that your next meal is coming up shortly. Its not like you have to wait til the weekend or whatever.
