Thank you all!

Peanut butter is great in moderation. Peanut butter is high in fiber and protien as well as the healthy fats such as mono and poly unsaturated. These lead to lowering bad cholestorol and raising the good.

Yes it is!

yeah just "budget" it into your daily caloric intake alowance. i eat peanut butter almost every day. its my favorite food. sometimes i eat WAY too much tho. watch out its addictive

Peanuts are very high in fat. But having a peanut butter and jelly sandwich (or just a spoonful of peanut butter) as part of a balance diet would be fine.

I eat a ton of peanut butter. I think its fine aslong as its natural peanut butter not the high fructose corn syrup crap.

You do eat other foods during the day right? I mean besides the P.B? Otherwise, I think there may be a problem.

It's OK if you want to watch your weight go up...

It is IDEAL for healthy eating, but for weight loss id probably minimize to about 1tbs. a day just because of the amout of energy.
i know its hard :)

yes it is. the peanuts have GOOD fats and oils. plus it tastes REALLY good!

peanuts are high in good fat, watch the salt. If you make it yourself its best and use sea salt, it causes less hypertention.
The protein is good as well. Just be careful it can just as easily push you over on carbs or calories if you are watching either, esp if store bought, those are usually very high in simple carbs like sugar

Peanut butter is a very good source of protein. Filling. It is high in fat and calories, but since it is a very nutrient dense food, you will benefit. Dieters forget this, and often lose muscle along with the fat
