What do you mean by "I don't know what her diet is like"? You're her mother, you're the one who needs to lead by example, feeding her well and showing her the best way to look after herself. A healthy diet for anyone is one that limits junk food and consumes lots of vegetables, fruits and lean meats.

She is only 12 after all, make meals that are healthy and don't put her on any specific diet, that will only make her self consciousness worse. If you want her to exercise more, how about you two going on long walks together etc.

You're crazy! Why are you worrying about your 12 YEAR OLDS weight and body image? she or you doesnt need to be worrying about this now, shes 12 for gods sake! get over yourself, woman. look at her, what do you see? fatness and chubby cheeks? or perfect, pretty and looking great.

just dont let them over intake on sweets and greasy foods and she will grow out of must of it but if for some reason the weight does not subside in time you may need to get her blood check some people have hormon problem where there body does not use up all there calories and turns them into fat and always keep you kids active sure let them be lasy here and there but not 24/7

Controlling weight from an early age is important, provided a healthy diet is maintained. Body image forms in early teen years, so fostering a positive mental state is pivotal to lifelong happiness. However, if you need some advice on a healthy diet to follow with meal plans and exercise plans, a really good one that I've had success with can be found at http://www.alfitness.com.au. It has low GI diets, vegetarian and high protein diets to cater to your needs and ensure your daughter will lose weight if necessary

as a mum your daughter health must be your top concern. at 12 u do not put your kid on diet. best to consult a nutritionist or a doctor for food intake advise. remember dont harm your kid.
