How can i lose about 40 pounds?!

Question: i'm not looking to lose like 18 pounds a week or anything, but i really need to lose weight.

i'm 5'2" and 174 pounds, and i'm 16. I just recently gained 40 pounds in the last year or so, and not only do i look disgusting, but i feel so sickly as a result of gaining so much weight so quickly.

I have a tredmill, but i barely use it. i have really bad depression and vocal cord disfunction, so breathing and staying motivated are hard for me to do.. i also stress eat. and when i get really mad, i tend to eat alot.

and its making my self esteem drop so quickly, my self image is like, in the negatives. and i recently got worse when i startedfinding stretch marks on myself in ransom places, like my legs and sides.

what are some things i can do to dring this disgusting weight off by say, june or july? keep in mind i go to school 7:30am to 2:40pm and work most 3-4 days a week from four until 10:30pm.

help?

hmm welll the answere to run. or start jogging. once youdo it for about a month your going to get use to it =) and well you have to cut out all teh fatty foods of your diet.dont eat to much cheese, rice or any carbs becuase they are bad for you. change your eating habits little by little. try to squeez in exsercise in between school.working ect. all your free time use it to work out =) that should really .help. but whatever you do dont do anything stupid like anorexia ect.ect =) be healthy thats the answere. oh and BELIEVE IN YOURSELF =)

Avoid fast food (make healthy lunches)
Avoid soda
walk at least 30 minutes a day.
Set realistic goals for weight loss.

The key is diet diet and exercise.

You need to eat 5-6 small meals a day. Eat some protein with each meal! Cut out all refined sugar!!! Also add more fiber. The fiber and protein will fill you up, helping you to cut down on your unhealthy eating. Also by eating more than 3 meals spread out through the day you will kick your metabolism in high gear. Here is a general meal for a day:

Breakfast: 2 poached eggs
whole wheat toast
1/2 cup fruit

Snack: Cottage Cheese with veggie

Lunch: Turkey, lettuce, tomato, whole wheat bread sandwich
1/2 cup fruit

Snack: Protein Shake

Dinner: Turkey Burger ( no bun )
Side of brown rice
Side of Broc.

Then exercise regularly 4-5 days a week. Do both cardio and lifting. But on days that you do both. Do lifting before your cardio and you will maximize your fat burn. Cardio can be a sport: basketball, soccer, football, anything with losts of movement. Golf is a no no.

So Example :

Monday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Tuesday - 1 hour lifting
Wednesday - Rest
Thrusday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
Friday - 1 hour lifting
Saturday - Rest
Sunday - 30 mins lifting then 1 hr cardio
