The biggest misconception with going on a diet is you shouldn't eat as much. You should eat as much as you did before, just replace the food you were eating with healthier choices and make that a lifestyle and not a diet.

Eat all throughout the day. You could do:

Porridge for breakfast with a banana.
Some fruits two hours later.
Your fish and salad for tea.
Some veggies two hours later.
A good dinner that includes protein, carbs and more veggies.

Try to drink 6-8 glasses of water a day.

Find fruits and veggies that you love and snack on them whenever you feel hungry. The best way to not eat junk and go back to your old ways is to get to enjoying healthy foods. There is soooo many great foods out there! I love hummus and blue corn chips. I also dip veggies into balsamic dressing.

Most importantly, reward yourself every week for continuing to stick with your goals! Buy some cute accessories. Treat yourself to a night out with friends. Whatever makes you feel good :)

You seem to be in the right track. water is very good but you must find an activity, walk, go to a park, play with kids, clean the house, anything to keep your mind from food. It does get easier but most importantly dropping some weight will make you feel so gooooooood.
