I have a naturally high metabolism, but I want to look and feel better so I am trying to give up all the sweets that I eat all the time. What do you think?

I used to have a crazy high metabolism when I was in high school. A typical day of food for me consisted of:
-2 granola bars or a bowl of cereal for breakfast and chocolate milk
-pizza, french fries and hostess cupcakes at lunch
-peanut butter m&ms for a snack during class
-cookies, cake, or cereal as a snack after school
-fast food or pizza for dinner
-pasta or ceral as a snack before going to bed

As you might expect, this eventually caught up with me when my metabolism slowed during college. I had to cut out almost EVERYTHING I was eating and restrict myself to vegetables, lean meats and whole grained breads. In short, I think trying to eat healthy while you still have a high metabolism is a wonderful idea, since you won't notice as big of a change when (and yes, unfortunately it's "when") your metabolism does start to slow down. You won't have to completely make over your diet and things will be MUCH easier for you!

Nope. I eat whatever i want because i know my exercise allows me to.

I had the same problem with the sweets. I felt as if i was addicted to it but i realized that it caused my face to get bumpy and after a while the bumps leaved spots on my face. I started to use proactive and it had done miracles. If you want to look and feel better, then quit the amount of sweets you consume or limit it. Everything worth obtaining sometimes call for a sacrifice.

I always eat whatever I want. This is why I work out and lift weights so that I can eat and drink whatever I want.
