I LOST weight my first week in college because I was so nervous I couldn't eat.... after I got back to my normal weight I rode my bike everywhere on campus or walked to class, because I lived on campus. And it was a pretty big campus! I picked up volleyball games here and there at our dorm (we had a volleyball court). I ate ALOT, I'm talking a whole 10" pizza by myself for dinner, but I managed to stay at the same weight because I was so active.

I stayed at the same weight I had when I was in HS until I moved off campus as a junior and my bf started driving me everywhere and taking me to Olive Garden for dinner. :o)

Don't do "traditional" exercise, I find it never really works unless you're totally into it and you have the time... I certainly have never had the motivation to workout in a gym unless it was doing something fun like boxing. I don't like to run unless someone's chasing me either. If I were you I would walk more, ride a bike if you can, use the stairs instead of elevators, stay active, don't take shortcuts when you're walking between classes unless you're pressed for time. Eat smaller portions but do not starve yourself (it's not worth it, says the foodie). Watch what you eat, make healthier eating choices. Once your clothes start getting baggy, you'll cheer up. Don't try to be a stick figure either... and don't ever make yourself throw up. People don't like barf-breathe. LOL

You just have to make time for exercise. If your health and appearance are your priority, you will make exercise a priority. Which would you prefer: sleeping in an extra hour or being skinny and healthy? If you chose the second option, try waking up early and exercising. If I can wake up at 5:30 to run and then shower before class, I'm sure you can manage.

Just make sure you don't get toooooo little sleep. This way I've lost 30 lbs (and I'm healthy).

little healthy snacks like fruit and bits of vegetable.

As a fellow college student, my advice is to walk as much as possible while on campus, if you drive to campus park far from your classes so you have to walk, if you live on campus, try to fit in an extra couple of minutes of walking between classes. Another thing I would try is try to eat fruit and vegetables for snacks instead of all the processed foods.

i would suggest instead of eating large meals at random times.. try to eat smaller portions throughout the day because it is easier for your body to digest. Eat lots of protien and less saturated fat. ALso you should try snacking on fruits a veggies because this will help suppress hunger. I have also heard that chewing sugar free gum also helps you not be so hungry. Walking after a big meal also helps as well.. Best of luck to you!

before you go to bed or to class just do a few sit ups or just an easy exercise and eat healthy if you do this daily the weight will go away

DO Work

Sleep. you can gain weight if you are sleep deprived.
Cut out whatever else you put into your coffee to keep you going. sugar, cream, flavor esp bad non dairy creamers.

only eat what is natural a real potato not potato chips. rice not rice cakes and on and on...

don't use all your calories in beer.
don't skip meals.

in other words the college lifestyle is kinda unhealthy.

i would just like to tell you to beware of the second answer.. whne you are trying to lose weight you should be getting at least7-8 hours of sleep
while you sleep your brain prdouces these hormones that reduce your cravings
don't get enough sleep.. your brain won't produce enough of the hormone
so throughtout the day you will very easily succumb to overeating fatty foods.. trust me it's VERY EASY for your mind to trick you into eating fatty food whne your body is tired
try to include exercising in your scedule without sacrificing your sleep

being college student has nothing to do with having excess weight.many jobs or occupations are alike being college student weightwise.i think u are trying to cheat your own self about the real reason of anybodys weight excess, which is of course the imballance between the intake and outgo of calories.calories are in all the tree sorts of food, carbohydrates, proteins and fats, and calory is calory no matter where it comes from.so yr intake must be in bllance with yr waste of calories, which is all kind of body and mental use of energy.the shortest way to do it is cut on bad carbohydrates but not cut carbohydrates alltogether and it only proteins cos its dangerous.so u eat a little of good carbos lots of good proteins and good fats.and u burn it later.if u are already fat then yr ballance must be negative, more spending of calories than taking them in,and vice versa.

yr question is much deaper than u believe it is and if u are serious about it i suggest u consult a good textbook on the theme or a nutricionist doctor.

if u dont know what good carbos proteins and fats are, then its vegetables whole fruits nuts seeds legumes dried fruits low fat yoghurt fish chicken white meat olive oil brown rice integral grainand not

potatoes white rice pasta white flower sugar red meat etc

and all these should be cooked healthy way which means boiled steam and not fried

i understand that u cant have such food if u eat at a college restaurant or with a company, like family, that wouldnt cook and eat yr way...

but think twice before u give up trying to make a change in yr life.if its yr family that doesnt understand this, educate them

its time

there is much more to it

good luck
