I weigh 13 st and am 5ft 5 inches tall (size 14/16), what should my ideal weight!

Question: Before I went to uni I was a lot slimmer, and a size 10. I am looking to get down to 10 st at least, but what would you say the ideal weight for a 21 year old female with a height of 5ft 5? I know I'm overweight so I won't have a problem if you don't take this seriously and take the p*ss.

Just so you know I have already changed my eating habits dramatically - I used to eat chips, takeaways, crisps and chocolates - a carb-laden diet. I now eat low GI foods and lots of fruit and veg. I also exercise regularly using the Pump it Up! workout dvd and walk a lot.

What do you think is the ideal weight? And how long do you reckon it will take to get to 10 stone at this rate?

Any help would be much appreciated thanks x

According to my chart, you should be somewhere between 10 stone ten and 12 stone ten. ideally somewhere in the middle.
Yes, you are bordering on the too heavy side but its within four pounds.

Fitness,BMI, a decent eating regime and general good health is more important than weight.
You are already doing that...so dont worry too much.
More important is the good health of your heart and arteries, etc.
2 pounds a week loss is good and will stay off with your eating well.
Dont forget your bone thickness and that you are now adult, not a teenager. It really DOES affect your weight.Dont go too far with weight loss, 11.7 to 12.0 is fine for an adult. Just carry on with the healthy eating and the excercise plan. Your`e ok.

Oh and by the way - by abuse I didn't mean the comedy answers that were funny but not offensive - they made me laugh :) Report It
