Ways to not get fat while pregnant?!

Question: I am so worried to ever get pregnant...its like a curse in my family, everyone is an average size (not skinny but not fat either) till they pop out babies and now my mother (who I love dearly and am not making fun of what-so-ever) is overweight, so is my grandma, I want kids SOOO bad but am horrified that it'll be the end of my average size body and I am doomed to be fat....any tips?

Don't eat everything in sight. Exercise. Sure, you are eating for two when pregnant, but most people fail to recognize that for the majority of the pregnancy, the "other person" is smaller than a cantaloupe.

dont eat junk! sorted.

all to often women use it as an excuse to eat waaay too much food. talk to your doctor about your dietary needs when you do get pregnant. remember to eat healthy not just to control your weight but for good nutrition for the baby. you might crave junk while preg but go for a healthier option. on average you should gain 25-35 lbs.

This same thing happend to me because I kept thinking I am eating for two so I have to eat everything and thats not true. You can walk while pregnant for excercise, and keep alot of fruits and veggies to snack on instead of ice cream, and other sweets stuff. Don't deprive yourself from eating things you would crave eat them just limit your self and eat 1 or small portion. After you have the baby eat healthy and I suggest alot of walking to get your body back into shape.

First off, pregnancy doesn't make you fat. It's improper diet and lack of exercising. When I had my baby I gained nearly 50 pounds. After having her I lost the weight with healthy eating and lifestyle. And now I'm actually skinnier then I was before getting pregnant.

The problem most women have is when they have their baby, they don't lose the weight, then they get pregnant and gain more weight on top of that, so it becomes harder for them to lose the weight.

If you eat right, exercise you should be fine.
