You're eating carbs in the cereal and carbs in the fruit...your diet it completely lacking protein.

Any weight you lose will probably be muscle because there's no protein to preserve it.

If you really want to lose weight it's 80% what you eat and 20% exercise.

You should probably eat about 1,200 calories/day, divided into six, 200 calorie meals/snacks every 2-3 hours apart (this keeps your metabolism up). The emphasis should be protein for each meal, about 20grams, along with some green leafy veggies.

What you should cut are:
Flour
Sugar (yes, even most fruit)
Fried foods
Empty carbs (cereal, noodles, etc.)

What you should eat are:
Turkey/chicken breast
Tuna/salmon
Green veggies
skim milk
egg whites
skim cottage cheese
string cheese (great snack)
almonds (great snack)

Limited amount of whole wheat bread (should like bird seeds are in it) and tortillas/wraps.

You want to eat as natural and unprocessed foods as possible.

Drink at least 1 gallon of water a day....your urine should be clear. Take a multi-vitamin/mineral with breakfast.

Dear God!!!! Why on earth are you that worried about 15 lbs at only 14 years old??? anyway the walking and running are both good. cardio is necessary to lose weight and help keep it off..
But your diet is a HUGE problem.. You will be way to under nourished from a diet like that. also your body will actually HOLD on to calories from not getting enough nourishment, making it harder to lose weight. Try looking online for a sensible meal plan.

you probably need a little more nurtrition in your diet, the key to losing and keeping it off is a balanced meal.

there is a website called lose 15 punds that has great tips

You seriously need to change that diet. You're not getting enough of everything. Plus, soon you'll get bored with fruits and cereal, and just lose motivation to keep eating right. Change the diet, but keep up the exercise, and you should do fine.

ok first of all stop eating so much cereal and eat some protein!
just eat healthy and excercise like 5 times a week and hopefully by may you drop 15 pounds

Short interval training. It will help you lose wight faster because you are building muscle properly. Google it and give it a shot. Your eating to much fruit by the way. You need protein and carbs to burn fat and build muscle. Your just going to keep your blood sugars up and crash if you continue on that diet. Carrots just turn to sugar as well.

Nope, you're not going to lose weight with that diet.

The exercising part of your weight loss plan sounds great. Two miles a day is a great way to burn calories. At your weight you probably burn about 90 to 100 calories in 30 minutes if walking at a slow pace.
although after much researching I have found out that many studies show, that you should do a shorter but more intense workout to burn more overall calories. Meaning cutting down some of your time walking and doing some short sprints. This will keep your metabolism up higher for the rest of day, meaning you will burn more calories when your even sitting still.
I would say to try this twice a week and see if it helps you any.

and the diet seems like its lacking some essential nutrient.
You should try incorpirating things like fish and grilled chicken in this diet.
also make sure to get at least 8 hours of sleep at night, and drink plenty of water.
and also dont forget to strength train a few times a week, which will help build muscle mass so you burn more calories when doing cardio workouts.

Good luck!

by the way foods high in protein
Milk
Eggs
Cheese
Yogurt
Peanut Butter
Lean Meats, Fish, and Poultry
Beans
Grains, including bread and pasta
Nuts and Seeds

I'm going to tell you right now you are not eating enough. Your body is starving itself, which puts it in defensive mode. I am over forty years old and our metabolism slows down alot after that age. I am trying to lose weight also. I started on January 7th, I go to the gym for 1 hour three times a week, I eat a 1200 calorie menu, sometimes more. Its all according to my mood and I have lost 15.7 pounds so far. I am also going to tell you you have to eat healthy because what you are eating is bs. In the morning I have egg/wholewheat toast/light cheese and fruit and yogurt. For lunch I have a salad or soup and sandwich. For supper I have chicken, fish or steak, baked potatoe and vegs. You have to eat sensible. Please dont rob yourself of this.
