When will I actually start to lose weight?!


Question: I've been going to the gym faithfully for 3 weeks now, I've been cutting calories and I've gained 2 pounds. When will I start seeing results? I do 45 min. of cardio a night along with all the abs, arms and leg machines. I'm there for a total of 2 hours 5 nights a week. I quit smoking 4 months ago and gained 20 pounds since. I'm convinced that between quitting smoking and having my gallbladder out in January I'll never be able to drop this excess weight. Can someone please give me some insight on what I could possibly change or do different to get quicker results.

WOW - well done you are doing so so well! jesus, you should be so proud especially of quitting smoking.

i am like in that i have found a new love of the gym. but also am not losing weight......yet!

BUT when u start going to the gym you lose fat but gain muscle, and this muscle helps to burn extra calories which is amazing. but muscle is heavier than fat.

so don't be harsh on ur self. u will see that 20 lbs fall off, just keep up the gym .i will keep going too :)

it could just be your body type... keep doing what you are doing b/c it sounds about right. do not go over board or you will hurt yourself... I am the same except i see results very very fast...
