Answers: if i do sprints/and/or olympic lifts would that translate to a higher vertical?

If you're looking to increase your vertical jump you should look into sport-specific exercises like plyometrics and strength/power exercises like squats and leg presses. Even deadlifts will help with the muscles that assist when jumping from a lower position.

Sprints will help with the vertical and with overall athleticism, especially with stop and go sports like basketball. Go with an olympic lift like the clean and press at your own risk of injury. Plyometrics, sprints and squats will do more for you really.

Done with PROPER FORM, absolutely. these lifts are very hard to learn though and most of the time require a coach to see what you are doing wrong, but yes, the clean & jerk and snatch as well as box jumps are some of the best ways to improve your vert
