Question about walking on my treadmill to lose weight? (details inside)?!

Question: Okay so ive been burning about 500 calories everyday doing 3 30 minute sessions walking at 3.0.

The past 3 days ive been doing about 5-6 15 minute sessions walking at speed 3.0 burning 100 calories each 15 minutes. My question is, will it matter any walking 15 minutes 5-6 times minus the 3 30 minute sessions? Some people say to walk atleast 20 minutes. Well I started taking vitamins and fiber, and for the past 4 days my energy levels have been crazy! Its like im hyper but not lol

Will it matter? Will I still lose weight? I went from 259 2 months ago, to 245 and 1 ounce today. If I lose another ounce i'll be about 244. Ive been walking 2 months now. I walked back in the fall but stopped for a few months, and lost 2 pounds. My stomach isnt as big as it was before. My mom even noticied and started teasing me because its flabby sorta. Im 16 years old.

Dear asd,

You are beautiful! Good for you for walking EVERYDAY! You are an inspiration to me.
OK so here's the deal.
The short answer is YES YES YES It will matter. You will lose weight. Losing weight is one part of it. You are ALREADY getting a HUGE benefit---that energy you are talking about--the hyper feeling.
Keep doing your 5 workouts---only make them 16 minutes instead of 15. Do that for 3 days and then up it to 17 minutes. Don't skip a day NO MATTER WHAT! Keep a diary--reward yourself with walking shoes --no food! no matter what!!!

Ok at some point your body will be able to go for 20 minutes in the morning and 20 minutes after school and 20 minutes after dinner.--In fact you could easily do it now, but it's a mental thing.

Now you have to balance this with the right food. Eat the stuff that fills you up and cleans you out--like salads and veggies---no dressing. Don't worry about fluctuations. You will go up and down--it's normal..Just don't quit walking. When you are tired, walk slowly. When you are energized walk fast. Do it by time not distance.

Try to do some sit ups (crunches) and push ups. Do 3-5 4 times and add 1 per day like the minutes.
Believe me, your body is strong. It's been hauling 259 pounds around!

Keep after it and good luck! This is the best thing you can do for yourself--it's right up there with an excellent education.
Jane

You will lose weight, except it would take longer,s ince you're burning less calories.
