What are some good chest exercises that can be practiced at home?!

Question: Hey I'm a 15-year old male, and I have good-sized arms but have trouble benchpressing since it's a chest exercise? Does anyone know of any chest-building exercises that I can do at home to make me better at bench-pressing and increase the size of my pecs? Thanks.

When you say you have trouble bench pressing, I gather you mean you can't do much weight. In that case, just put less on the bar. Train for the reps and sets, and when it gets easier, add a little more. No need to show off by loading the big plates right away: do what *you* can manage, and your body will rise to the occasion. In due time, you'll be tossing the bar up, plates and all.

If you're having trouble with the technique, talk to your coach or PE teacher, or whoever. Proper technique is key to getting the most out of a move, and so you don't f*** up your body.

That said, if you just want to build your pecs, there are other moves - flyes, for instance. Swimming is good for the chest too, though it probably won't bulk you up the way you seem to want. Neither would speed bag.

Push-ups aren't so bad, dude; if they're boring, maybe you just need to try the oodles of variations. Just get over it - now drop and give me 20, maggot!

Bottom line: if you want to improve your bench press, consider - doing bench presses. It's that simple. If building your pecs is your thing, there are other ways, though they'll have their own demands. Decide what you want, then find out how to get it.

push-ups
swimming

push ups
speed bag
butterfly curls (carefully)

but mainly push ups if you dont have anything to lift or punch
