you shouldnt have excess skin since youre still young your body still has elasticity and typically bounces back to being tight fairly easy. a lot of times the problem with excess skin happens in older people, but it also depends how overweight you are. If youre a few 100lbs overweight then you might, but youre still young so it should come back to not hanging just fine.

just do toning exercises once youve lost the weight youre trying to lose.

and congrats on the 5lbs of weight loss. that certainly is a great start. keep it up!!!

just research toning exercises on the net. Be consistant and they should go away.

all depends how much you lose unless you are losing 50-100 pounds you shoulnt have a problem just exercise and at your age you will grow into it and it will tighten up. the stretch marks may not go away though.

It's possible, but I doubt it. You're still young. If you are working out, your muscles should tone as well, preventing the dreaded hanging skin. Your stretch marks will probably never go away, although they may fade.

Keep up the good work, and congrats on the decision to live a healthier life!!!!

Hi! Losing weight won't change the look of your stretch marks, but Mederma will. Sold over the counter it's the best thing for stretch marks and scars.

Don't get too skinny. That's out of style now. Boys want a little bit to hold on to!!
Bless you and Good luck!

use coco butter 4 stretch marks! and eat right to lose weight!

I had the exact same problem around your age. And let me just say, stop worrying. They WILL go away. They aren't going to be there forever. It's great your working out. That will help a lot. Make sure to do toning exercises where you have them. And try rubbing cocoa butter and vitamin E oil in them everyday. That stuff helps a lot. Just remember almost everyone has them and they do fade and go away. You probably won't get loose skin because your so young so don't even worry about it. Hope I've helped.

Wow, I just noticed we weight about the same. Good luck with your weight loss goals!

you should not have a problem because i loose weight all the time cause i am a swimmer, i play basket ball and soccer. i dont get strech marks!

it's good that ur doing sports to lose weight. YAY waitta go gal and the stretchmarks will go away since ur actaully working it off or burning it off.

The faster you lose the weight, the more likely it is that you'll get that flabby skin... Go slow. You're young. Your skin is still elastic.

Good luck :-)

ok well stretch marks suck...we all know that. they seem to become more prominent when we lose weight, but they actually come from gaining weight quickly. you can rub coc butter, vitamin e or mederma on the stretch makrs to make them fade, but thats really all you can do and i cant prmise they will dissapear all to gether. you hear about people with large weight loss having to get plastic surgery because they have extra skin...those people were HUGE and often got surgery (like gastric bypass) which made them lose tons of weight really fast, causing their skin to have no time to contract. basically i am saying that if you work out and lose weight the right way you should nto have that problem becuase your skin will work with you to pull tight as you lose weight (also your young so this will be a lot easier for your skin to do than if you were old).

look...even if it looks gross...which i am more than certain it iwll not...then at least your body is healthy and the problem is cosmetic. you can save your money and get surgery...but that is minor compared to living longer and healthily. good luck

I am very happy to see that you have decided to start living a healthy life through excercise. This is most def a good thing. May I suggest one thing? Don't starve yourself. A lot of people make the mistake of not eating enough when trying to lose weight when in fact if you are trying to lose weight you should eat at least 5 to 6 times a day. It helps your metabolism boost and it takes your body out of starvation mode. With 3 times being your well proportioned and healthy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Keywords is proportion and healthy. 2 times will be small healthy snacks (fruits and veggies). Now to answer your question. In order to get rid of the extra skin you may be obtaining due to weight lose is to do some type of strengthing excercises to tone it up! Don't let your excercise routine consist of only cardio instead even it out. Maybe cardio 3 times a week and strength conditioning (weights, push ups, sit ups, etc) 3 days a week with a day of rest. I hope this helps! Good luck with everything!

the excess skin that you see when people lose a lot of weight is usually weight they have been carrying for years and years. It's from there skin being stretched for so long and as you age you lose that elastiscity.
You shouldn't have to worry about sagging skin just keep working out and tonning and you should be fine.
the stretch marks might be a little harder to get rid of. And trust me at some point and time if you ever decide to have kids you get stretch marks anyways.
But if after you lose all your weight and they still bother you talk to your mom, or doctor and see if your parents would help out and pay for you to have laser sergury to help with it.
But over time the strectch marks lighten up some.
good luck on your journey it is not easy as I am also trying to lose about 40 pounds.

im going throught with the same thing. I dropped a lot of weight since high school and didn't notice any skin, i hear vitamin e helps, coco butter, and merderma helps. also i noticed that if i tan they seem to be less noticeable.
