eat tuna or chicken they have weigh protein which goes right to your muscle and it's not heavy at all or you can eat veggies which is good because of the vitamins and minerals in it

I like eating an orange after I work out.

if you did a weight workout, you could have a protein shake, you can always have something like chicken or fish, which are high in protein, low in fat, and filling enough. Or you can even have something like an Ensure.

Fresh fruit or vegtable smoothie.

A good protein shake. Try Met-rx or muscle milk.

Welll.. I say cottage cheese, if you like it.
Depending on what your trying to accomplish, after a workout what you should have is anything high in protein.
Cottage Cheese has alot of protein and you can make it however you like.
You can have your cottage Cheese plain, with cinammon and apples, or with other fruits like pineapples. (Some people like honey in their Cottage Cheese, personally I think it tasts horrible with honey)

Peanuts have protein too, but they tend to have more calories. But you know that all depends on how much you have...

Fruits are always a good snack, but they dont have much to do with protein... I like chopped bananas with a LITTLE bit of maple syrup on top, makes them taste good! Chopped apples and peanut butter is good to, but dont over do the peanut butter... Whatever fruits you like is good too...

I know you said nothing heavy, but meat has alot of protein, so you can cut one piece of some type of healthy bread in half, toast it, and put some cold-cuts on it... make a little mini sandwich..?

Cant really think of anything else...
It really depends on what type of workout you did? If you worked out you muscles and want to build them up a bit, protein would help alot. If you did cardio, portein wouldn't hurt but it isnt necessary since you didnt really wear out as much muscle, but it doesnt matter...

Like other people are saying, I Would NOT have a protein shake. Most of them are meant to be meal replacements, not add-on snacks. Most of them can also mess you up in the end and alot of protein shakes cause people to take them for the rest of their life, since they know once they stop with the shakes the progress they make slows down drastically. I mean, feel free to try a sample or something, but eating a piece of chicken is equivalent to taking a protein shake and MUCH healthier for you. Protein shakes are pretty addicting, not because of any substance in them, but because people want to see results and after you start taking protein shakes, you just dont want to stop because you'll soon come to realize your body will need alot more effort to make the same progress as it was on protein shakes... I dont recommend them.

i would eat vegitables or yogurt!

Nature Valley Granola Bars. I'm Diabetic and I eat those. Pretty good.
