Check out this brilliant FREE website:

Here you can enter your height, age, current weight, activity level and goal weight and it will calculate the number of calories you should have per day and estimate how long it should take you to reach your goal weight.

Then you can use their food log and exercise log to keep track of the calories you're consuming and burning off. This is really helping me to focus on one day at a time by motivating me to stick to the calorie count each day!

It should be 2000 daily for adult women

Weigh yourself on Monday morning. Live for a week. Weigh yourself the next Monday morning. If you haven't lost weight, reduce calories by 10%. Live for a week. Weigh yourself the next Monday morning. If you've lost weight, continue. If not, reduce calories by another 10%. Repeat until 9st 2.

This should help.

2000 cal a day its not helathy if you have more than 2000

to lose weight you need calorie intake to be below normal, if you do 2000 now drop to 1500 and you'll go down a little

Congratulations on giving up smoking, generally the most important single move to improve your health!

Reducing calories alone is often insufficient, a modest reduction to perhaps 1,500-1,700 calories accompanied with a minimum of 30 minutes of vigorous exercise 5 days a week, will have a better success rate. It will also have the bonus effect of making you feel and look better as well as prolonging your life.
