Is holding weights as effective as lifting?!

Question: I mean holding for as long as you can versus doing lots of reps. I imagine that holding would be easier on the joints?

Answers: I mean holding for as long as you can versus doing lots of reps. I imagine that holding would be easier on the joints?

Easier on the joints, sure. But definitely not as effective.

Doing "reps" increases explosion power and actually builds joint flexiblity, as well as obviously making you stronger.

Just holding the weights doesn't build explosion power or build joint flexiblity as well.

no

Holding onto heavy weights after you have done your sets is a very good way to get a nice burn. Make sure you contract your abs and take deep breaths while you do it.

Add small movements like curling your wrists and shrugging your shoulders.

Finally, after you can't take anymore, pick up 15-20lbs and repeat the full range of motion, small movements, and holding
as long as you can. It burns.

holding is ineffective because there is no range of motion movement. the muscles required to hold the weight stay contracted and the muscles not required remain unworked. nice theory but it dont work

sweet moses no
